Capturing Sek Schulhaus Lochacker Architecture Photography Across Light and Seasons

The recently completed renovation of Sek Schulhaus Lochacker in Reinach, designed by Wyss + Santos, presents a facade that balances bold design with material harmony. Architectural photography captures this interplay, showing the building as it reveals its layers in daytime and dusk.

By day, sunlight plays across glass, metal, and stone, casting surfaces that alternate between openness, opacity, and everything in between. Interior spaces come alive with reflections and translucent light, blurring the boundary between inside and out.

As the sun sets, the semi-open facade transforms the stairwell into a golden tapestry of hues. Photographing the building across different seasons and times of day reveals its ever-changing character, highlighting how light, weather, and environment interact with the design.

Capturing these moments required close collaboration with the architects to ensure that every shot reflected both the facade’s dynamic beauty and the intention behind its design.
